Mysa Medical & Wellness Spa is proud to collaborate with Brea’s Candles to develop a line of scents that truly reflect the environment Mysa wishes to create. Experience and atmosphere are tied together, and nothing is more memorable than a smell. We wish to bring to life a uniquely relaxing and pleasing environment for our clients, and we will achieve this goal by engaging all your senses: sight, taste, touch, sound, and of course smell.
According to the authors of Global Wellness Institute (GWI) White Paper Series, Ophelia Yeung & Katherine Johnston (2020), our indoor environment is more consequential than outdoors. These authors believe – based on their extensive research – that we should “create environments that promote better sleep, rest, and stress reduction.” (read more at www.globalwellnessinstitue.org). Mysa’s collaboration with Brea’s candles is aimed at providing just that, a relaxing and restful environment through the power of scents.
Brea’s Candles is a Los Angeles based black owned company. The founder, Brea Buchanan, is what we like to call a scent connoisseur. Her extensive knowledge of various ingredients, the beautiful notes they create, and the effects these have on our senses is the reason why we chose her for this endeavor. We are ecstatic she accepted to assist in creating Mysa’s environment. Brea’s Candles mantra is “Handmade with love,” and this is as true a statement as they come. Every single candle is meticulously composed with intentionally chosen ingredients, then hand poured into 100% recycled material jars. Brea’s candles will also be making a line of essential oils to match the candle composition in rooms where we cannot have open flames.

Brea’s Candles for Mysa Med Spa will be exclusive to Mysa. We will work together to bring seasonal scents, new & improved fragrances, and above par notes that will enhance your senses and leave you relaxed during your spa visit. As with everything at Mysa, we are guided by constant research and innovation because, yes, odors are a science.
The candles and essential oils will also be available for sale exclusively at Mysa Med Spa Dallas location, or online at Brea's Candles. We encourage you to purchase these candles and oils with the aim of creating this same relaxing environment in your home, or even work setting. We believe wellness is a lifestyle and cannot be achieved in small doses. So, while we cannot control the aggressive scents and pollutant of the outside world, we can endeavor to curate our indoor environments.
